Fuji Electric Introduces Newly Designed EV Charging Station

Fuji-Quick-Charger
Fuji Electric Corporation of America will introduce a new generation of UL-Certified 25kW DC Quick Charging Stations for electric vehicles, offering a slimmer, sleeker version to suit a wider variety of applications and site locations.

The release will be the fourth generation DC Quick Charger for the power electronics manufacturer, having launched the first model overseas in 2008 before entering North America’s EV market in March 2012.

Fuji Electric’s newly designed 4th Generation 25kW DC Quick Charger will be available for sale in North America in February 2013. The new model features a slimmer profile to suit a wider variety of applications, saving space and installation costs for station owners while providing EV owners with a quick and convenient public charging solution.

The UL—Certified charger was recently displayed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV and is compliant with CHAdeMO standards, meeting all requirements for both small and large-scale installations.

With nearly 90 years of industrial manufacturing experience, Fuji Electric has emphasized the importance of using heavy duty material in the construction of its charging station to ensure durability in public locations.

The integration of ChargePoint in the DC Quick Charger offers users the convenience of locating and reserving available stations via ChargePoint mobile phone applications for iPhone and Android, while easily managing the cost of charging.
