
Chinese premium electric vehicle makers, XPENG and NIO announced their electric vehicle delivery numbers for the month of August and their results were an all-time high.
XPENG delivered 37,709 electric vehicles last month, a 169% year-over-year increase and up 3% over the prior month, setting a new record for monthly deliveries.
Deliveries for the first eight months of 2025 reached 271,615 units, marking a 252% increase compared with the same period last year.
On August 27, the Company officially launched the all-new XPENG P7 model, with nationwide deliveries commencing on August 28.
In August 2025, XNGP achieved an urban driving monthly active user penetration rate of 85%. Since its introduction, the human-AI co-pilot feature has been well-received and widely embraced by users.
Meanwhile, NIO delivered 31,305 EVs in August 2025. This represents a 55.2 percent year-on-year increase and a 48.95 percent rise from July.
The company’s premium smart electric vehicle brand NIO delivered 10,525 vehicles last month, down 47.83 percent year-on-year and down 16.96 percent month-on-month. NIO’s family-oriented electric vehicle brand ONVO delivered 16,434 vehicles, a 175.00 percent increase from July. The company’s small smart high-end electric car brand FIREFLY delivered 4,346 EVs, up 83.69 percent over the prior month.
Cumulative deliveries reached 838,036 as of August 31, 2025.
