Renault Master H2-Tech Prototype unveiled with a 700 km range and 5-minute charge

Whichever powertrain they choose, New Renault Master customers are choosing the most efficient vehicle in its class.

New Renault Master is the only vehicle in its class made in France: the multi-energy platform (internal combustion, electric and hydrogen) and all body variants are manufactured on the same assembly line at the Batilly plant (near Metz). Engines, gearboxes and batteries are made in France, and 84% of suppliers are based in France.

While internal combustion and electric versions are already on the market, the new Renault Master will be marketed in a hydrogen H2-Tech version in 2025.

This world premiere of the Master H2-Tech Prototype announces the features of this new zero-emission version of the Master, developed by HYVIA, a joint venture between Renault Group and Plug dedicated to hydrogen mobility.

A pioneer and leader in electric commercial vehicles for the past 15 years, Renault has approached hydrogen solutions in the same way: offering a new energy source with zero compromise on use, accompanied by an ecosystem built for and with the professional customer.

This hydrogen version has been designed to offer constant operational availability and total peace of mind for the intensive use of professionals.

With the best range in its segment, 700 km of WLTP autonomy, whatever the weather conditions, and a recharge time of 5 minutes, Renault Master confirms its status as the new benchmark whatever the energy that drives it.

Without compromise, this zero-emission version is adapted to the various intensive uses of professionals: van, floor cab, chassis cab versions and customizable for the most demanding needs, thanks to our Renault Pro+ approved bodybuilders.

The New Renault Master H2-Tech Prototype is a major, pioneering innovation, made possible by the H2 expertise developed by HYVIA over more than 3 years, based on customer feedback on the first two H2-Tech versions, available since 2023.

This innovation offers reliability and performance, thanks to a hydrogen architecture that is fully integrated into the vehicle platform right from the design stage, preserving both the loading area and the payload.

The new-generation Dual Power: battery & fuel cell energy architecture is energy-efficient, offering unprecedented range of up to 700 km WLTP, with an integrated multimedia system for optimized management of range and H2 consumption.

The future Renault Master H2-Tech will be marketed by Renault and will benefit from a network of specialist H2-Tech dealers trained in the challenges of hydrogen for the sale and after-sales service of this new version. The vehicle will be fully integrated into Renault’s commercial vehicle range and will be supported by all the brand’s commercial expertise.

Renault Master H2-Tech will continue to be driven by HYVIA’s H2 expertise, building on its ability to initiate, develop and support H2 ecosystems with a unique and comprehensive offer: hydrogen vans, H2 stations, supply of carbon-free hydrogen and financing solutions.
