FIAT Professional introduces the all-new “in-house” transformed E-Ducato Cargo Box

At the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover, Europe’s largest trade fair for commercial and industrial vehicles, FIAT Professional unveiled the E-Ducato Cargo Box, a large van featuring exceptional cargo capacity and an uncompromisingly spacious interior, making its world premiere as the perfect example of the new FIAT Professional CustomFit conversion and personalization programme.

The Fiat Professional E-Ducato Cargo Box, produced 100% at the state-of-the-art Atessa production facility in Italy, is a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality and precision. With FIAT Professional CustomFit project, and by keeping the entire transformation process in-house, the brand ensures meticulous attention to detail at every stage. This approach guarantees that every vehicle meets the unique needs of the customer, ensuring that businesses receive a vehicle perfectly tailored to their operational demands.

Along with the Cargo Box, available from October 2024, this approach offers a versatile array of conversion options tailored to the diverse needs of various businesses. These include the Drop Side configuration, the 1-Way Tipper, designed for efficient tipping in a single direction, making it perfect for construction and landscaping tasks. For even greater flexibility, the 3-Way Tipper allows tipping in three different directions, meeting the demands of diverse work environments. The Crew Van configuration accommodates additional passengers while maintaining ample cargo space, making it an excellent choice for teams on the move.

Whether purchasing online or through traditional retail channels, customers also benefit from an incredibly streamlined process. The fully integrated production model allows for precise inventory management and faster production cycles, resulting in remarkably short delivery times. This efficiency means that customers can receive their vehicles much sooner than with traditional manufacturing methods, all while enjoying the exceptional quality and reliability that FIAT Professional is renowned for.

The E-Ducato Cargo Box showcased at the Hanover booth offers an impressive cargo volume of 18.3 m³, complemented by a spacious interior with dimensions of 4,230 mm in length, 2,032 mm in width, and 2,150 mm in height. It is built on the Battery Electric Chassis Cab version, delivering 410 Nm of peak torque and a powerful output of 200 kW (270 hp), paired with a 110-kWh battery, making it a highly capable and efficient electric vehicle.

Additionally, for customers needing extra cargo space, it will also be available in the L4 configuration, which expands the cargo volume up to 20.5 m³ with an interior length of 4,500 mm and a height of 2,300 mm. Both versions will be offered with BEV and Diesel options, featuring 140 hp and 180 hp configurations with both manual and automatic transmissions, providing maximum flexibility to customers. In addition to the standard rear swing doors, a tailgate rear door will also be available as an alternative version. Standard cargo boxes are equipped with features such as anti-slip wooden floor protection, aluminum baseboards, an automatic detection ceiling light, and a padded 2-in-1 profile to securely fasten objects inside.

A wide range of optional features is available to further customize the vehicle to meet the diverse missions and uses of cargo boxes. These options include an over-cab storage pod for additional space (+1.5 m³), a lateral door, and a tail lift for versions with swing doors.
