PEUGEOT e-2008 Scoops ‘Best Electric Car’ Title At The Business Car Awards

The all-new PEUGEOT e-2008 has taken home the ‘Best Electric Car’ award at the Business Car Awards.

Launched earlier this year, the all-new PEUGEOT e-2008 is the second car in the brand’s new generation of all-electric vehicles and continues PEUGEOT’s plan to introduce a fully electrified range by 2023.

Featuring a 136hp electric motor and a 50kWh battery, the all-new e-2008 has a zero emissions range of up to 206 miles of range (WLTP) from a single charge. Using 100kW rapid charging, an 80% charge takes as little as 30 minutes.

Simon Harris, Editor of Business Car said:  “The PEUGEOT e-2008 electrifies a new model already available with petrol or diesel engines. It has just enough range to take occasional longer journeys in its stride, is affordable and has an upmarket feel.”

David Peel, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: “With an all-electric zero-emissions range of up to 206 miles (WLTP), distinctive SUV looks and the latest safety and convenience technologies, the all-new PEUGEOT e-2008 is a compelling proposition. Our strategy of giving customers the power of choice – with electrified, petrol and diesel powertrain options all available – is proving to be a real success.”

The all-new PEUGEOT e-2008 features the new PEUGEOT 3D i-Cockpit® (depending on trim) with a compact multifunction steering wheel, a configurable 3D head-up display panel and either a seven or 10-inch HD capacitive colour touchscreen.

Additional advanced technologies include PEUGEOT Connect SOS and Assistance, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function (depending on engine, Lane Positioning Assist and Mirror Screen® with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto connectivity. Owners can also benefit from the MyPeugeot smartphone App to set deferred charging, check charging status and set cabin pre-conditioning ready for departure.

Prices for the all-new PEUGEOT e-2008 start from £28,150 including the Plug-in Car Grant.
