eMotorWerks and con|energy partner on EV charging technology in Germany

eMotorWerks, the provider of intelligent and cloud connected solutions for electric vehicles, has announced a partnership with German energy services company, con|energy, to launch new EV charging solutions into the German speaking market.

The companies will collaborate on technology solutions that provide leading-edge EV charging stations that optimize EV charging based on energy source preferences, such as solar.

This partnership comes on the heels of con|energy’s green|connector product announcement, a solution that supports utilities accompanying their commercial and retail customers through the overwhelming complexity of the emerging energy and mobility revolution. This service includes information, guidance, and hardware and software solutions serving individual customer needs in the new markets. con|energy will serve as a channel partner to eMotorWerks, and the joint partnership will be an important part in the green|connector initiative to help utilities better assist their customers.

The eMotorWerks technology is focused on internet-enabled Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) products that are connected and aggregated via JuiceNet, eMotorWerks’ patented, cloud-based communication, control, and intelligence platform that dynamically matches users’ historical charging patterns, real-time input, and signals from grid operators and utilities to increase grid flexibility to meet EV charging demand.

By utilizing JuiceNet, users are able to maximize the use of renewable power. Other notable JuiceNet products include eMotorWerks’ best-selling JuiceBox Pro charger and JuicePlug universal smart-grid EVSE adapters that convert existing, basic residential charging stations, into smart charging units that connect directly to utility grids. eMotorWerks has sold over 15,000 units since the 2013 launch of its flagship line of JuiceBox charging stations.

“We’re excited to announce our first solution partner in Germany,” said eMotorWerks founder & CEO Valery Miftakhov. “Germany doubled down on renewable energy early and is now reaping the economic benefits. Our partnership with con|energy and their strong relationships with leading municipal utilities in the German-speaking regions of Europe will empower us to bring innovative products to market.”

“EV usage across Europe is on the edge of becoming a fast growing market, with annual growth rates already more than 100% in Germany and an expected acceleration from 2018 on. Combining eMotorWerks’ expertise and products with our knowledge and access to the German speaking energy markets provides for a perfect and timely solution,” stated Roman Dudenhausen, CEO of con|energy.
