PSA Peugeot Citroen recently unveiled an updated version of its lightweight urban concept called VeLV electric vehicle.
Peugeot VeLV electric vehicle concept is a three-wheeler electric vehicle, jointly developed by PSA and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency ADEME.
Designed for city use, the concept measures 2.8 meters (9.2 feet) long and has seating for up to three people. It is also extremely lightweight as it tips the scales at less than 700 kg (1,543 lbs).
Power is provided by an 8.5 kWh battery which motivates an electric motor that develops up to 40 HP (30 kW). This enables the model to hit a top speed of 110 km/h (68 mph) and travel up to 100 km (62 miles) on a single charge.
There was no mention of whether or not VeLV electric vehicle would ever actually hit the roads of France.[wzslider height=”400″ lightbox=”true”]
