Toyota Starts Taking Orders for Prius Plug-in Hybrid in Japan Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) began taking orders through Toyota dealers in Japan for the Prius plug-in hybrid, a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle that can be charged using a household electric outlet.
Toyota is targeting Prius PHV (plug-in hybrid) sales of 35,000 to 40,000 a year in Japan, and 60,000 globally. The car is set for delivery in Japan on January 30, 2012....
